Charlie Cockerill became “of counsel” to the law offices of Allison Mackenzie in 2014. Charlie offers expertise in labor and employment law representing Nevada employers in the public and private sectors. He has represented Cities, Counties, School Districts, Hospitals, Public Communications Utilities, Fire Districts, General Improvement Districts, Water/Sewer Districts and other special Districts throughout the State of Nevada. Charlie is an arbitrator for the Nevada District Court Alternative Dispute Resolution [ADR] and is a State of Nevada Hearings Officer for state employee discipline and discharge appeals

Charlie Cockerill was admitted to practice law in the State of California in 1979, and in the State of Nevada in 1980. He served as law clerk to Nevada District Court Judge Michael Griffin for one year before becoming a prosecutor at the Nevada Attorney General, Criminal Division in 1981. He then served for ten years as Deputy District Attorney, Chief Criminal Deputy District Attorney and Chief Deputy District Attorney at the Carson City District Attorney from 1981 to 1991. Charlie was in private law practice in Carson City beginning in 1992 practicing exclusively in labor and employment law until he joined the firm in 2014.
