Seeking Part-Time General Office Assistant

We are looking for a part-time general office assistant to undertake a variety of administrative and clerical tasks including but not limited to:

  • Postal delivery/pickup
  • Errand delivery/pickup
  • Copying, scanning and filing support to staff and attorneys
  • Order and stock office, kitchen, stationery and janitorial supplies.  Keep copier machines full of paper.
  • Organize and maintain document storage units.
  • Organize and maintain the legal library and file room
  • Switchboard and front desk relief
  • Loading/unloading of dishwasher and general maintenance of kitchen area

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and customer service/telephone skills.
  • Basic understanding of operating instructions and processes for office equipment, postage meters, and kitchen equipment.
  • Reliable transportation, current vehicle insurance and driver’s license.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Positive attitude.

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • Office Experience preferred
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and basic computer experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
  • Must be able to navigate stairs

Other:

This job is part-time.  The hours can be negotiated, but the time must include covering the switchboard during lunch.  Example:  10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  

Compensation:

This position is paid hourly.  Hourly rate commensurate with experience, with a minimum starting rate at $16.00 per hour.  Because this position is part-time, we do not offer benefits or paid time off.

Seeking Legal Assistant 

We are looking for a Legal Assistant to undertake a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to one or more lawyers, effectively communicating with witnesses, clients, and coworkers, and the production and filing of various legal documents. This position is full-time and is an onsite position. Our office thrives on collaboration and support; this role is vital to that environment. Qualifications
Successful candidates must have a minimum of five years of proven experience as a legal assistant, knowledge of online court filing systems, working knowledge of document management software, and the ability to communicate clearly and accurately. Specific experience with Secretary of State business entity filings, corporate documentation, estate planning, and advanced organization skills preferred.
